1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Fynlo ("the Service") at https://tryfynlo.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including free and paid subscribers.

2. Description of Service

Fynlo is a personal finance tracking application that allows users to manually log income and expenses, set budgets, track savings goals, and receive budget guidance. The Service is provided on a freemium basis — a Free tier with limited features and paid Pro and Family tiers with expanded functionality.

3. User Accounts

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Providing accurate and complete registration information
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By registering, you confirm you meet this requirement.

4. Free and Paid Plans

Free Plan: Provides access to core features including up to 15 transactions per month, 1 savings goal, 1 custom category, and 1 monthly budget. The Free plan is provided at no cost and may be changed or discontinued at our discretion with reasonable notice.

Pro and Family Plans: Paid subscriptions billed monthly or annually via Stripe. Features are as described on the pricing page at the time of purchase. Plan details may change; we will provide at least 30 days' notice before reducing features on an existing paid plan.

5. Payments and Billing

Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorise recurring charges to your payment method. All prices are in USD unless otherwise stated.

  • Free trials: Pro plan includes a 14-day free trial; Family plan includes a 7-day free trial. No credit card is required to start a trial.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel at any time via the billing portal. Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period.
  • Refunds: We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us within 14 days.
  • Price changes: We will notify you at least 30 days before any price increase takes effect.

6. Your Data

You own all financial data you enter into Fynlo. We do not sell your data to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we collect, use, and protect your data.

You may export your transaction data at any time (Pro feature) or request a full data export by contacting support. Upon account deletion, your data is permanently removed within 30 days.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these terms
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or other users' accounts
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the Service
  • Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or bulk-access the Service
  • Transmit viruses, malware, or any other harmful code
  • Impersonate any person or entity

8. Service Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience outages. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of planned downtime. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available".

9. Financial Information Disclaimer

Fynlo provides budgeting tools and general financial guidance. The Smart Budgeting Advisor generates rule-based tips based on data you provide. Nothing in the Service constitutes professional financial, tax, investment, or legal advice. Always consult a qualified professional for decisions about your financial situation.

10. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, branding, and content (excluding your personal data), is owned by Fynlo and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fynlo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or financial decisions made based on information provided by the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a prominent notice in the app at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, followed by binding arbitration if unresolved.
